Indoor vs Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation - Which is Better?

This is the big question, especially for new marijuana growers.

For centuries, people grew marijuana outdoors until the prohibition forced them to hide their plants indoors.

But, medical marijuana legalization changed everything. Today, many US states allow people to grow marijuana for personal use. Each state has its own regulations for growers. For instance, an MMJ grower’s license in Santa Clara allows you to grow 99 plants at home.

Coming back to the question, the answer is—it depends. Different growers have their own preferences, requirements, etc.

In this post, we are going to discuss different aspects associated with both indoor and outdoor cultivation so that you can choose what makes more sense to you.

Environmental Considerations

The main difference between indoor and outdoor marijuana cultivation is the grow environment.

Plants need the sun to thrive. When you grow cannabis outdoors, the endless supply of sunlight helps the plants to grow healthy. Moreover, ladybugs and other natural predators help prevent mites.

On the other hand, the weather doesn’t matter when you are growing cannabis indoors. You can always adjust the indoor temperature, CO2 levels, etc. based on your plants’ needs.

Moreover, you are able to reduce the risks of infestation. You can have complete control over what comes to your grow space.

Additionally, your living situation matters. If you are worried about neighbors filing a complaint against you, indoors would definitely make more sense.

What are the cons?

The major downsides of outdoor cultivation are heatwaves, drought, and pest infestation. You can’t control a bad storm destroying your plants.

When growing cannabis plants indoors, you are responsible for taking care of everything your plants need. This includes water, fertilizer, light, etc.

Overall Cost

This is another major distinguishing factor. The best part of growing cannabis outdoors is the sunlight. It needs far less investment. Free sunlight and soil can help you save more dollars.

Opting to move indoors allows you to produce bigger yields. Although outdoor growing seems like a cost-effective option, you might not get the same impressive returns as with indoor grows.

The major concern related to outdoor growing is that it’s hard to optimize light according to specific crop needs.

In the case of growing cannabis indoors, you need to invest in LED grow lights, temperature controls, etc. Thus, setting up an indoor growing facility can cost you more.

Quality of Marijuana

When you are growing cannabis for medical purposes, the quality of buds matters. The sun delivers full-spectrum light, and many experts think it’s the best environment for marijuana plants to flourish.

Indoor growing allows you to produce dense buds with rich trichomes and cannabinoid contents. By utilizing the latest technology, you can produce high-potency marijuana that is perfect for your medical condition.

In the case of outdoor growing, the weather is the major issue. Since your plants are directly exposed to natural elements, the potency and overall quality of the buds are more likely to get affected.

The only con of indoor growing is that it may take some time to set up an ideal grow environment.

So, these are some major aspects related to indoor and outdoor growing. How you approach cannabis cultivation at home will depend on your budget, quality of buds, etc.

Is Edibles a Good Option for Medical Marijuana Consumption?

During the pandemic, the legal cannabis sales spiked. Though there are many options to consume it, the most popular ones are smoking, vaping, and oral methods. Since the coronavirus is a respiratory illness, people are concerned about inhaling it and choose the edibles over it.

Edibles are available in various forms such as edibles, tinctures, and topicals to be consumed orally. It is a safe method to protect your lungs from the harmful effects of carcinogens. To legally buy it, more patients are taking an appointment through telemedicine to get the medical cannabis card to buy cannabis legally from the dispensary. With Growers License Santa Clara, people can grow cannabis legally at their home.

What are Edibles?

They have to be orally administered and are available in various varieties such as baked goods, drinks, candies, capsules, tinctures, etc. A specific amount of medical marijuana is added to them with decarboxylation, that activates the properties of this herb. Depending on the product you choose, you will feel the effects of this herb.

Generally, marijuana edibles have a higher concentration of THC, the psychoactive compound responsible for intoxication. Seeing the increasing demand, more types of marijuana-infused foods and beverages are available in the dispensaries. As it can be infused into any food or drink, more people are experimenting to infuse medical marijuana into their food.

Making of Edibles

There are made using two processes. The first one is blending the canna-butter or canna-oil into the baking recipe instead of adding regular butter. Canna-oil is used in place of cooking oil and can be easily blended into veggies while sauteing veggies, slow frying, or while making sauces.

The other way of infusing is adding a few drops of cannabis extract into any liquid. So you can choose the tincture considering the THC level and add accordingly to your drink. Check the labels carefully to add the appropriate amount of cannabis extract into the drink.

How Do They Work?

In the edibles, the cannabinoid content enters the bloodstream from the digestive system. It is comparatively slower than inhalation and produces stronger effects that stay for long. The experience of edibles is different from smoking and vaping, so patients should monitor their dosage to avoid being overmedicated.

Carefully choose the cannabis extract or oil as you will get many options in the different concentrations of THC and CBD. Each has different benefits and you can choose the strain with any concentration to get relief from pain and other symptoms.

High-THC products are recommended to patients with nausea, appetite issues, or severe nerve pain while high-CBD products for anxiety, stress, and other mental disorders as it does not create any psychoactive effects.

Conclusion

If you are a beginner, the best way is to start with a small amount and then gradually increase the dosage as per requirement. And, edibles are available in large doses, so you need to check the directions to learn about the correct dose. It may take more than an hour to show effects, so don’t over-medicate for getting the desired effects. People who have strong tolerance may need to take a large dose of the edible product.

Don’t Have a Grinder? Here Are DIY Tools For Grinding Your Cannabis

Are you a cannabis enthusiast? You’ve grown your cannabis also at home. Then you probably might be owning your Growers License Santa Clara. In spite of having your cannabis right in place, there’s something that is missing. Wondering what’s that?

It’s a grinder. I guess almost all of us have been in this situation at some point or the other. Whether it is a friend’s get together or you are relaxing at your place and you are all set to spark up your stash of cannabis. But in the next second, you realize that your grinder is nowhere in sight.

Now what?

Don’t panic by thinking that who’ll try the whole nugs of cannabis for smoking. Not to worry, you don’t have to subject yourself to that fate. You’ll be surprised to learn about the number of options you have at your place. Let’s look at the DIY tools then, which will help you out in the awkward moments.

Hands

Thinking how it’s possible. Grinding cannabis with your own fingers is one of the old school ways. All you need to do is make a bowl-like shape of your hand and use your other hand to pick your buds away and break them. The only drawback of grinding your cannabis buds with your hands is that the resins stay around your hand as the thick layer of trichomes that are saturated in a high-quality bud are stacked with higher concentrations of THC. But you can brush off this resin from your hands with the help of a credit card and can smoke it in your joint as well.

Coffee Grinder

Don’t want to get into the manual labor thing? Then a coffee grinder is right up your alley. Being quick and easy to use, a coffee grinder shreds your cannabis buds into confetti by just pressing the start button. Don’t forget to clean your grinder well, both before and after grinding cannabis as the coffee cups that will come after it will smell, taste, and feel different than normal.

Coin And Container

This option is a good alternative and you’ll need a small container with a lid and a coin. To break your tougher cannabis buds, through them in the sturdy container along with the coin, seal the lid and then start shaking the container. Both the objects will bash against the buds and will tear apart the slightly moist or dense nuggets. Remember not to use a plastic bag in place of the container as the coin will tear the plastic well as well, leaving all your cannabis buds spilled everywhere.

Knife And Chopping Board

It might be sounding a little over the top to you, but this option is a popular one when it comes to grinding your cannabis. Just place your buds on the chopping board and chop them finely with the help of a sharp knife. This method makes your cannabis buds nicely chopped if you have the cutting skills and the patience to do it. But make sure that your knife and board are properly cleaned as the odor of your previously cut ingredients like garlic and onions will contaminate your cannabis.

Is Cannabis Helpful For Erectile Dysfunction..?

To understand how cannabis affects our sexual course, you need to first learn how cannabis and its ingredients affect our system and its functioning. Cannabis contains two main cannabinoids, THC and CBD, which modulate our ECS(endocannabinoid system) and changes how it works in certain areas.

THC is usually known for its psychoactive effects although is also beneficial in insomnia cases and patients with REM disorder(rapid eye movement). On the other hand, CBD, which is a non psychoactive ingredient of cannabis is beneficial for relieving anxiety, seizures, and pain. If you are living in California, you can easily apply for an MMJ Card in Santa Clara to use cannabis as a medicine.

A study shows that receptors and sexual tissues present in our reproductive organs are stimulated with CBD use, which in turn increases sensitivity and promotes the body's natural lubricants.

Role of CBD in Sex Drive

Our ECS contains endocannabinoids, which bind to the cannabinoid receptors and helps in the circulation of energy and working of various functions of the body. Cannabinoids present in cannabis are also similar to the body's naturally occurring cannabinoids and binds to the receptors present in our ECS and modulates its working. Our ECS is responsible for the proper working of our immune system, reproductive system, and central nervous system. ECS regulates our neuro synaptic communications and affects functions like memory, learning, reproduction, eating, metabolism, growth, and arrays of other functions carried by our nervous system.

A case study released in 2009 by the New York Academy of Sciences discovered the presence of CBD receptors in testicles among men, which states that drugs containing CBD can play a role in regulating the sexual functions.

The scientist also found a connection between anxiety and sexual activities. CBD can help reduce the anxiety levels which could lead to weak erections. Experts also believe that lower stress level is linked with a higher sexual desire.

Using CBD Oil for Erectile Dysfunction

Despite a few studies, some scientists do not affirm the usage of CBD to help with erectile dysfunction. Even some clinical trials suggest that CBD helps in relaxing the blood vessels and improving the blood flow to the penis, which could help with erectile dysfunction.

CBD products are not widely recognized as a sexual stimulant and not many people know about its connection with our sexual cycle or testosterone levels. However, its calming and therapeutic effects cannot be neglected which can help the person to achieve a relaxed psychological state, which is vital for good sexual experience.

One of the hypothesis states that CBD affects sexual desires directly through modulation in neuron activities in the brain. A study conducted in 2017 states that cannabis activates the brain areas which are responsible for sexual arousal.  Many times bad sexual experience is linked with a lack of desire which could lead to a flunked erection.  The experts concluded that sexual encounters under the influence in CBD in moderate amounts could enhance the experience and could be helpful for people with insufficient sexual drive.

Tips To Buy The Cannabis For The First-time

After 420 evaluation, if you get the approval from the doctor, you will get the medical marijuana card in the next few minutes. Using it, you can buy cannabis legally from the marijuana dispensary. However, those buying it for the first time need to consider some factors to choose the right product and strain to get relief from the pain and relax. Some people also apply for a Growers License Santa Clara to obtain permission from the county government to grow medical marijuana at their place.

Buying cannabis may seem easy and you might be overwhelmed after seeing the options available in the dispensary when you visit the dispensary for the first time. But you need to prioritize to get the desired effects from the strain. Especially if you are a medical patient, you cannot overlook these factors to get a good experience,

When you’re spending your money on cannabis, remember these tips to make the right decision.

Familiarity With the Legalities

If you’re unaware of the legalities of the medicinal and recreational use of marijuana, you can end up in a problem. Marijuana laws and legalities are continually changing, so you need to learn about the possession limits of the state to avoid any legal prosecution. Being updated about the information and restrictions of medical cannabis will help you to keep the problems at bay. You also need to learn about the risk of crossing borders with cannabis, as only a few states have flexible marijuana laws.

Choose a Dispensary

After reading about the laws of your jurisdiction, the next step is to select a marijuana dispensary from where you will get the cannabis. In this step, you should take some time to decide the source of cannabis products. The first step is to narrow down the dispensaries based on the location. And, then consider their pros and cons after going through their online catalog. You can also check the accessories for various delivery methods offered by them. Then start comparing the dispensaries from the price point to see whether if it’s in your budget or not.

The prices of the dispensaries also vary according to the location, some more research can help you in finding a dispensary with affordable prices. However, ensure you buy cannabis from the licensed source to get quality and effective products.

Quality Over Price

There are some illegal stores that offer medical marijuana at a comparatively lesser price than the licensed dispensaries and online stores. When you come through such deals, you should not be tempted to buy it and check whether if it is from a registered seller or not. The ones offering at low prices sell contaminated products or the stash has more leaves and seeds in it.

A licensed source will provide cannabis with proper labels and their products go through a comprehensive quality assurance process for the safety of the users. To get several perks of medical marijuana, get a medical card from a certified doctor, and enjoy exclusive privileges.

Smoke Cannabis In Your Apartment Without Being Evicted. This Is How?

The cannabis acceptance has been on rise recently across different parts of the United States. And, this makes people believe to use cannabis anywhere without having a fear of stigma. Some have even adopted to grow cannabis at their home with a grower license in Santa Clara

Some parts of the United States have accepted medical and recreational use of cannabis, while some have not. Therefore, this says that every cannabis user (whether recreational or medical cannabis user) should be well versed with the laws of their territory to avoid getting on the wrong side of the law.

On the other hand, even in the states where cannabis is legal, it does not signify that people are still stereotypic in those regions. All cannabis users have to face restrictions on using cannabis even where it is legalized. Such situations give rise to a number of arguments. One of which is whether it is okay to smoke cannabis in the rented apartment. Will the landlord evict a tenant based on cannabis usage where cannabis is legalized?

Can a Landlord Evict a Tenant for Using Cannabis?

Cannabis users believe that smoking cannabis anywhere is okay provided the region has legalized cannabis. Also, they feel that a landlord can not evict a cannabis user. Now, to understand this, one must be aware of the federal laws, state laws, as well as the regional laws of the place where you stay.

In the places where cannabis is legal (whether recreational or medical use), cannabis users believe that it is within the rights of tenants to smoke cannabis. However, this is not entirely true as there are some agreements and peculiarities that give the landlords a legal ground to examine the state of things in their premises.

How to Use Cannabis without Being Evicted?

Edibles

This is not a new thing in the cannabis world as edibles like pot brownies have been in for more than we can even remember. Cannabis edibles provide the desired effect almost similar to the one experienced by smoking. It can be infused in drinks and meals after decarboxylating the cannabis buds.

Vaporizers

Vaporizers are the best way to consume cannabis as they can easily eliminate the troubles of the scent from the vapors’ fumes. This makes it easier to use cannabis discreetly ensuring least to no trouble to the landlord.

Discrete Consumption

Choose a place in your apartment to smoke discreetly. Some areas in the apartments are suitable for smoking cannabis as they can take care of the cannabis fumes. For instance, in the bathroom and kitchen, they can easily mask the scent from the cannabis fumes.

Scented Candles Usage

Using scented candles is an interesting approach as it will not restrict the cannabis user to smoke and will also eliminate the risk of exposure. Scented candles are a common essential at home and hence they can be made useful while smoking cannabis; also the tenants will not be alarmed.

5 Important Things you Should Learn Before Growing Marijuana

Growing your own marijuana is quite overwhelming. And, for good growth, you need to buy various equipment, material, climate, and other factors from the beginning itself. There are various ways to maximize the yields and to apply that everyone should have in-depth knowledge to master the techniques.

When you don’t know how to grow cannabis, even getting started can be hard. The key to sewing your own seeds and harvesting buds is understanding the basics of the cannabis plant.

Basics of Cannabis

When you start growing cannabis, you don’t need to be an expert. But you should have knowledge about its life cycle, structure, and nutrient requirements.

You can read a book on growing cannabis before getting your hands on the germinating seeds. Then you’ll have an idea about how to grow cannabis indoors, outdoor, and in greenhouses. The three phases of the cannabis life cycle will be explained thoroughly. Measures to support the cannabis plant during the seedling phase, vegetative phase, and flowering phase help in yielding good growth for the first time.

Power Needed

After understanding the growth of the cannabis plant, you need to check the power needed while growing indoors. Cannabis plants need a good quality light of about 400-600W  for at least 18 hours.

Residential houses can get overloaded from various fans, extractors, and either electrical equipment that is installed to supply air and light to the cannabis grown indoors.

Budget

Growing cannabis is an investment. You will be investing in some expensive equipment and it varies whether you’re growing it indoors or outdoors. Pots, soil, and other accessories like grow light, grow tent, ph meter, and small ventilator. It will take a toll on your pocket, but are needed and will be in use in every harvest.

You’ll get your money back in just a few harvests. And, there’ll be no need to buy marijuana after showing the medical marijuana card in the national dispensaries.

Different Growing Methods

There are different ways of growing cannabis. Read about all the growing methods and then make a choice based on your budget and skill level.

However, the common grow method is soil as the roots easily absorb the nutrients from it. The advanced growers do opt for other hydroponic methods such as sand, misted air, and water.

It is up to you whichever method you want to choose for growing weed, but the first time growers should opt for soil-based methods as they’re simple and forgiving.

Grow Space

The next key step is to pick the right growing space. You need to give it a thought before starting to grow cannabis. There are two options, namely, indoors and outdoors. Each space has its pros and cons, based on the availability and priority you can use it.

However, growing outdoors saves a lot of money as the sun and a nice breeze saves your money spent on electricity. But you don’t have any control over the climate and light while growing outdoors. It can be problematic for you if you’re growing it in an area where it is illegal to grow.

Similarly, indoor growing has some benefits. The main is you can control everything starting from the light to air supplied to the plants. You have full control over the environment of the plants which is not possible while growing outdoors.

Closing

These were some factors that you need to rundown before growing cannabis. There are many techniques to speed up the growth, but ensure you take care of all the aspects to get the best results. And, it’s worth seeking help from the experienced growers while starting to grow marijuana in a particular environment.

Moreover, it is susceptible to unwanted pests, which can significantly affect growth. To avoid them, you need to provide the best care to the cannabis crop.

Can A Marijuana User Donate Blood?

We all know that the cannabis community is a very generous pool of people who love to share (it’s clear with their altruistic common bong culture and puff and pass rule). However, there are, obviously, some other ways too to do good to your fellow men. For instance, donating blood.

But wait. Can you donate blood if you consume cannabis?

Well, it may surprise you a little, but consuming cannabis doesn’t, in any way, disqualifies you from donating blood. As long as you are fit and healthy, and meet all the requirements, you are free to do so.

In this article, we’ve tried to clear all the confusion you might have regarding blood donations if you are a cannabis user.

Cannabis and Blood Donation: What You Need to Know

First of all, let’s understand what a cannabis user specifically needs to know about blood donation and cannabis use.

As mentioned above, you can donate blood even if you are a cannabis user. And so, you do not need to lie about it to the doctor if you are donating. Even the Red Cross society in America says that cannabis use and blood donations have no direct relation. While the red cross society does not, in any way, encourage the use of cannabis, they say it won’t disqualify you from giving your blood. Along with this, many other organizations also have similar policies.

However, there is one thing you must keep in mind. Though donating blood if you consume cannabis is not a problem in itself, you cannot do it if you are currently under its influence. So, if you are planning to go for it on a particular day, prefer postponing your cannabis session until after you’ve donated.

Frequent Vs. Infrequent Cannabis Users

Until now, we understood that there is no problem with donating blood even if you are a cannabis user. But there is one more question that frequently hits a marijuana user’s mind- what if you consume cannabis very frequently? In fact, there are many people who have a medical marijuana card. And they use it on a regular basis. So, is there any difference in blood donation rules for frequent and infrequent cannabis users?

Well, the simple answer is no! You can donate blood regardless of your marijuana use frequency, provided you meet all the requirements for donating blood including you aren’t under the influence at that time. THC, the cannabis compound that makes you high, does take some time to get out of your system if you consume regularly. However, the chances of the recipient getting high due to that are nil. And thus, you do not have to worry even if you are a regular user.

In short, it doesn’t matter if you are a frequent user or only consume once in a while, you can donate blood without any problem. However, you should make sure your high isn’t visible at the time of donation. In that case, the doctors may send you back.

General Requirements for Donating Blood

Consuming cannabis isn’t a problem if you are donating blood. However, like everyone else, you still need to meet certain criteria. As per the Red Cross Society in America, for donating blood:

  • You should be feeling healthy and well at the time of donation.
  • You must be of 16 years of age or older.
  • Your weight should be 110 pounds minimum.
  • It should have been more than 56 days since you last donated the blood.

In addition to this, you shouldn’t be suffering from any chronic condition or be under the influence of cannabis or any other drug. Otherwise, you will be rejected straightaway.

Final Words

There has been a widespread misconception in the past that cannabis users cannot donate blood. However, it’s not true at all. In fact, cannabis use and blood donation have no relationship.

Blood donation is a great deed. And it’s an amazing way to help those in need. As per the CDC, every single day, thousands of blood transfusions are required in hospitals all across the country. And doctors need people who can donate blood to save lives. So, even if you are a cannabis user, don’t stop yourself from performing this good deed. The experts are fine with you consuming cannabis and donating blood. And so, if you want, you can do it without any hesitation. Your blood can actually save lives. So, don’t think much about it and donate!

CBD Found In Orange Peel: A Claim Made By A Japanese Company

Are Orange Peels the modern source of CBD extraction? Read on to know more.

Not intrigued to go all green? How about oranges?

For the past decades, cannabis has been the talk of the world. The natural herb has more than hundreds of cannabinoids, and CBD is one of them. After meticulous studies and research, CBD has proven its efficacy in being medically or therapeutically useful. Even though the studies are at their preliminary stages, CBD is potent and versatile medicine.

Are you into cannabis products for CBD? And, if you know cannabis products, they do carry a trace amount of THC (0.3%) in them. Thus, if you’re the one who is all in for CBD but not THC compounds of cannabis, then this article has tempting news for you!

A recent discovery of CBD in the orange peel will keep you from the trouble of THC induced high. Not all cannabis users take cannabis to get high; some utilize cannabis as their treatment.

CBD Derived from an Orange Peel

Cannabis and its use (either recreational or medical) is allowed in numerous states of the United States. Most territories that authorized marijuana have set limits for THC. CBD products can be legal only when it contains 0.3% THC. Thus, this cannabinoid is a  primary issue across the CBD industry. Many other countries do not (yet) legalize the usage of cannabis products due to the contamination of THC in it. Interestingly, the Japanese have come up with an alternative way to avoid this contamination.

Recently, a Japan-based company, Hiro International, has derived CBD from orange peels. They unveiled an exclusive line of CBD products produced from oranges and not hemp or cannabis. The revelation was at the Cosmo Tokyo cosmetics fair.

Formerly, the company imported fruits and fruit juice, but they soon discovered orange shipped from the US embraced CBD structurally similar to that found in hemp plants. Soon, they were able to distill the CBD found in the form of oil that had multipurpose uses, which led them to Cosme Tokyo.

CBD oil derived from an orange peel is claimed to be  100% THC free. Hence, these CBD products can reach places with strict rules on THC.

Benefits of CBD From Orange Peel

Theoretically speaking, the benefits of CBD derived from orange are the same as that of the traditional CBD. There are additionally no threats in terms of legality. Moreover, it provides a sound story to people who are a little reluctant to use cannabis due to its pre-existing negative stigma in several places.

As of now, the company has created prototypes using the derived CBD oil- body lotion, make-up remover, lip balm, and a hair care product. Perhaps, it is okay to say that CBD derived from orange peel is equally beneficial.

The company clearly states that no studies have yet compared these two CBDs. However, some early studies do claim that alternatives of CBD are as efficient as traditional CBD. Whether or not Orange-peel derived peel is as effective is still up for debate.

Orange peel derived CBD products are good news for people in Japan eager to try out and reap its benefits. Another reason for its hype- No more failing drug test. About 45% of CBD products contain traces of THC, and it can cause the consumer to fail drug tests. Therefore, it is a safe alternative with the same ingredients and effects and no THC.

Takeaway

Whether or not you embrace cannabis with both its virtuous and hint-of-evil fronts is a whole another question. The first thing to ensure is whether orange peel drive CBD is as effective as claimed by the Japanese company. Since they have only developed prototypes, it is difficult to say anything for sure right now. But, on the other hand, it seems like an excellent substitute for those who want to enjoy the perks of CBD and stay away from other cannabinoids or chemicals found in cannabis plants.

For your information, these CBD products are only available in Japan currently. There are no insights, whether they are available internationally or not! However, I hope it is worth the wait!

Note:- You do not need a 420 Med Card to purchase a CBD product.

Tips to Keep Your Marijuana Fresh For Longer

You may have heard of people talking about marijuana not having an expiration date. Well, it is true but partially. A lot of how long your stash lasts is based on the way you store it. Because marijuana can lose its potency if not kept under correct conditions. And for people who love to enjoy the flavor and taste. The bad news is that incorrect storage can take away your joy and leave you with little to no taste and flavor.

Most marijuana users are medical patients and use it to treat their health conditions. So they may take the effort to get an MMJ Card, drive to the dispensary and get their dose. However, if they fail to maintain proper storage conditions for their stash they will have a medication that is only half effective.  So yes, proper storage is important. And this is why I’m here to give you some of the most important tips that will ensure that your buds stay fresh for longer. And maintain their potency.

Let Go of Plastic

There is a reason why this is the first tip. Because this is the most common mistake people make in storing cannabis. You may have seen most people using ziplock bags because it is convenient. Well, it is just a big mistake. Here’s why. One, your buds are at the risk of improper handling. You can easily end up crushing it which can destroy a lot of trichomes. Two. Plastic is not really effective in containing the odor. And you may end up with a room full of marijuana smell. This process also deteriorates the flavor of marijuana. Three, plastic has a tendency to create static and trap a lot of good trichomes.
So the lesson learned here is that plastic will slowly degrade the quality of your stash.

Use Glass Instead

You may ask, if not plastic then what should I use? You should use glass containers. There several advantages of using glass instead of plastic. It will not create any static. It will also take away the risk of improper handling. And the most important point is that it will keep the odor and taste intact. Here are some tips to keep in mind while buying your glass container.
  • Make sure it is airtight.
  • Prefer an opaque container.
  • Keep the size in proportion to the volume of your marijuana. Size matters because your container will trap more oxygen if it is larger than the quantity of your stash. This can actually speed up the degradation process of your marijuana.

Keep it Cold, Dry and Dark

These are three of the most important steps to keep in mind. By cold, I mean to avoid exposing your stash to a warmer temperature. This also means you must keep your container in a dark place. As sunlight can cause decolorization. And also, create moisture which can lead to the growth of mold.

Avoid Refrigeration

Most people freeze their buds to make concentrates or to slow the decarboxylation process. In such a case you must allow the buds to reach room temperature before handling as they get brittle and break off. While freezing is still acceptable. You must avoid refrigeration as the fluctuating temperatures can cause marijuana to mold.
So, next time you get your dose of marijuana. Make sure you are following these tips and storing them correctly.

The opinion varies from person to person. But the combination of cannabis and a smell that doesn’t scrunch the noses of people is a unique one. And therefore, marijuana candles are now lighting up the lives, hearts, and homes of the people all around the world.

What exactly is a Marijuana Candle?

It is exactly what you think it is. A marijuana candle is a candle that smells like cannabis when you light it up. They are made from the essential cannabis oils, with a combination of distilled oil and terpenes, so that they smell and feel like marijuana.

You may think that sniffing a marijuana candle will get you high because burning any other form of the plant also has the same effect. But that’s not the case with marijuana candles. Cannabis essential oils and marijuana candles won’t actually get you high. Cannabis essential oils do not have any THC content. And therefore, your mind won’t be altered when you light this up. But in many cases, people like lighting these up during smoking in order to enhance the feel and effects of marijuana.

Marijuana-based Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is an ancient technique of providing calming effects through the sense of smell (aroma). The technique is used to boost a person’s mood with the help of some materials and natural essential oils of a plant. When the person smells the plant, he inhales the feel-good properties of it. This enhances the overall well being of the person.
Some people consider aromatherapy a complementary form of therapy. They see it as something additional to the conventional therapies.
Different plants are used to provide different types of effects on the person. But their overall function is to provide the person with comfort and the feeling of relaxation and thus ultimately boost his mood.

Cannabis Essential Oils

Due to the long-lived negative notion of cannabis in the past, cannabis essential oils are still fighting the battle to become a mainstream product in the market. But even if it still is verging on taboo, we cannot ignore its benefits. Cannabis essential oils are very useful resources that promote a healthy balance between the body and the mind. And because of this particular reason, cannabis essentials make such fine candles.
Limonene, myrcene, and linalool are some major terpenes present in cannabis essential oil. Each strain has its own dominant terpenes, and thus different smell.
With so many different products in the market, a new cannabis-based thing isn’t a big thing. But a marijuana-based candle is something tempting. And now that you know so much about cannabis-infused candles, would you buy it for your next smoke session? Let us know in the comment section.
