But if these hemp bio plastics are better than petroleum-plastics, then why isn’t the entire industry already using them?

These companies are now making packaging only for the businesses that use hemp products. They also aim to educate more and more people about the plant and how it is a great alternative to petroleum-based plastic. But the entire thing has its own problems. There are still not many farmers who grow hemp, however, the Farm Bill changed things a little. Also, as hemp is growing in popularity, more consumers are getting attracted to hemp-based plastic packaging. And it is a no-brainer to know that consumers are the ones that make the final decision.
